About the index
Composite index (0–1): equal-weight average of normalized ranks on # agglomerations fused, population involved, and area involved. Higher = higher rank on all three indicators.
Pop %: fusion/absorb population as % of country total population. Area %: fusion/absorb area as % of country total area. Higher = fusion/absorb matters more for that country.
